Penelope Anne on the Lincoln Highway in Clinton, IA

Clinton, Iowa

August 14, 2020

What a day today. We got to Davenport, Iowa this morning, then drove through the little town called Le Claire, Iowa along the Mississippi River. That is where Buffalo Bill was born. From there we went up to Clinton, Iowa where I met two very lovely ladies at Nestlé Purnia who gave me some very yummy treats! They are delicious, thank you so much!!!

Then we took a break along the Lincoln Highway. The Lincoln Highway was established in 1913 and goes from Times Square in New York City to Lincoln Park in San Francisco, California. The original length was 3,389 miles long. The Lincoln Highway is one of the earliest transcontinental highway routes in the United States.

Wow, I'm tired i think it's time for bed. Good night everyone!
